1. Where are you from?

I was born in Seoul in Korea, and I have been living in Seoul ever since. Um, I like living there because it’s extremely convenient, but it’s often crowded with many people, and is very polluted.

2. Where do you live now? How long have you lived there?

I’ve been living in the Bangbae neighborhood in the south of Seoul ever since I was born. It has a lot of local amenities for the locals. Like, we have a subway station located nearby, so it’s easy to travel. On top of that, it also has many shops and restaurants, so we can easily go out and eat lots of delicious food.

3. What are advantages and disadvantages of living there?

I guess there are several advantages of living in my town. For instance, it has plenty of modern convenient facilities such as department stores, subway stations, parks, museums, and so on. And, it also has many top tier schools in Seoul. But, it also has several disadvantages. I mean, it’s very overcrowded. Plus, serious air pollution and traffic congestion are also problems in Seoul.

4. What are differences of living in your town compared with the past?

Compared with the past, my town has developed a lot. For instance, we have far more modern buildings and facilities including department stores, museums, and public transport. Plus, there are more people than in the past. That said, there used to be many fields for farming in my town like 50 years ago. Now they’ve changed into residential areas.

5. Is it a good place to live for people with young children?

Seoul is an excellent place for children for numerous reasons. Firstly, there are plenty of educational facilities ranging from private to public schools. Also, there are vast numbers of parks for children to run around in and enjoy themselves.

6. What’s your hometown famous for?

Seoul is famous for not only the wide varieties of exotic food but also the numerous tourist attractions such as Namsan Tower and the 63 building. Kimchi and Bulgogi are some examples of famous Korean traditional food which you can easily find in Seoul.

7. Do you think it’s an interesting place to live in?

I personally think that compared to other cities Seoul isn’t a very interesting place to live in. I mean, it’s true that there are lots of things to do and the nightlife and food are amazing, but… It’s not as cosmopolitan as other global cities, and it’s developing so quickly that it’s easy to lose a sense of history.
