I’ve chosen talk about Seoraksan, or Seorak Mountain, which is a natural place I’ve visited.

It’s in Gangwon province, east of Seoul, not far from the coast. It’s sort of near a few cities like Gangneung and Sokcho… lots of tourists go there in autumn.

Uh, well, there are plenty of mountains in Korea, but… Seoraksan is popular; I mean it’s famous for its beauty… It’s one of the highest mountains in Korea, and there are twelve peaks, I think… And like many mountains in Korea, it’s made of smooth granite and the surrounding forests are lush for most of the year.

Erm… I tend to go every year to see the leaves changing… The last time I went was in October… There were too many tourists, it wasn’t at all calm… But we managed to hike to a more tranquil place, and the leaves were gorgeous, really breathtaking, and the views were really scenic… There were so many colours: blood orange, crimson, yellow…

… And that’s why it was unforgettable. It was so stunning…
