1. What kind of jobs are most respected in your country?
What
Jobs with higher social status such as doctors and lawyers.
Why
Because traditionally, Korean people regard jobs that involves intellectual work. These jobs are respected because they require special qualifications which are hard to obtain. Another reason is that one need to go through a vast amount of studying and to pass national exams. And the jobs have an influence on the society, and good income. That is why those jobs are respected.
2. Do you think schools provide enough advices and supports for future career?

What Yes, I do. |
Why These days, schools provide a wide range of opportunities for students to prepare themselves after graduation. For example, students can participate in various types of summer internship or volunteering programmes. Through these experiences, students can make better choices when choosing their future career. |

Korean schools are more focused on the academic aspect of education instead of providing practical knowledge. A lot of students are forced to study all day and every day without having some time to learn about real life. I believe this has side effect because when students are out in the real world, they will have to learn everything from scratch. |
3. Do you agree that salaries should reflect the level of contribution a person makes?
I agree to a
certain degree. Because incentive system is proven to be effective for increasing business performance and
productivity. Recognizing Employees’ performance can be very motivating. Also,
it can increase job satisfaction and
create friendly competitive environment.
4. Do you think more people will work from home in the future?

What Yes, I think so. |
Why In fact, I think the future is already here. These days, many people work from home by using computer. Especially jobs like translators or webs designers can easily work by communicating with email or online programmes. Looking at this trend, working from home will become more and more |
